About the position

As a Long Distance (LD) Transport Engineer, you will play a crucial role in the design and engineering of long distance, ultra-long haul, and OTN mesh network transport systems. This position requires a deep understanding of the telecommunications industry, particularly in the areas of SONET/SDH, ultra-long haul (ULH), and Optical Transport Network (OTN) technologies. You will be responsible for managing network equipment inventory and ensuring the integrity of provisioning databases, which includes installations, decommissions, and system updates to maintain data accuracy and reliability. Your expertise will be essential in creating and activating end-to-end services at the optical layer using the OneControl GUI, as well as performing database cleanup to ensure system integrity.
