Network certifications are a plus, and candidates should have a solid understanding of network routing and switching hardware, as well as network security equipment and best practices. Desired work experience includes an excellent understanding of advanced TCP/IP, routing, switching, and firewall technologies. Candidates should be skilled in utilizing container technologies like Docker and Kubernetes for network function virtualization and have an understanding of machine learning algorithms to predict network performance and automate capacity planning. The ability to integrate network automation with cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP) for seamless cloud networking is also important. Proficiency in network automation tools such as Terraform and GitOps for infrastructure as code (IaC) practices and deployment in CI/CD pipelines is required.
