About The Position

As a Network Development Engineer for Amazon's Project Kuiper, you will play a crucial role in designing and building the terrestrial network that supports a constellation of low earth orbit satellites aimed at providing high-speed broadband internet to underserved communities. This position involves defining long-term connectivity solutions, providing technical leadership, and supporting the full lifecycle of networking solutions.

Requirements

  • 1+ years of major internet routing protocols experience
  • 1+ years of working in a Linux/Unix environment experience
  • 3+ years of working with Cisco and/or Juniper network gear

Nice To Haves

  • 1+ years of automation scripting using Python, Bash, Shell and/or Perl experience
  • 3+ years building networking solutions for global deployments
  • Experience with AWS and AWS networking products such as Direct Connect and Transit Gateway

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers and leaders across the organization to define connectivity solutions for Kuiper.
  • Provide technical leadership for Kuiper's terrestrial network plan and implementation for sites around the world.
  • Define network solutions for Kuiper's launch, manufacturing, and lab sites.
  • Support and champion the full lifecycle of networking, including enabling improved support tooling and monitoring capabilities.
