About the position

The Network DevOps Engineer SME at I2X Technologies is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the CI/CD Pipeline, utilizing tools such as GitLab and Nexus. This role requires expertise in automation tools and configuration management processes, ensuring effective release and versioning for the infrastructure team. The position is based in Colorado Springs, with travel to alternate work locations as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Develop, implement, and manage the CI/CD Pipeline using tools like GitLab and Nexus.
  • Execute configuration management processes, releases, and versioning for the infrastructure team.
  • Function as the Subject Matter Expert for CI/CD Pipeline, Automation, and Software Defined Networking.
  • Represent the organization with program leadership and customers on significant technical matters.
  • Ensure proper documentation, training, and reporting for GitLab.
  • Improve release processes utilized by the ART.
  • Create, maintain, and present KPIs and metrics related to the CI/CD Pipeline and configuration management.
  • Build, train, and maintain automation scripts to replace manual processes.

Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience/combined education with 7+ years of professional experience; or 9+ years with a related Master's degree.
  • Government security clearance (DoD Secret minimum, Top Secret desired).
  • Effective communication skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially PowerPoint and Visio.
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to follow processes.
  • IAT Level 2 Certification.
  • Experience as a DevOps Engineer.
  • Experience with Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment, preferably GitLab CI/CD.
  • Experience with maintaining a Hardware Configuration Management Plan and configuration control processes.
  • Experience with Ansible and Containerization Binary & Artifact Management, preferably Nexus.
  • Proficiency in using RedHat Ansible, PowerShell, bash, and Python for automation.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience working in Jira and Confluence.
  • Basic knowledge of Network Engineering.
  • Experience creating and updating processes and procedures.
  • Experience developing KPIs and tracking metrics.
  • Experience with containers, binary & artifact management, and RHEL.
  • Experience in a DoD environment.
  • Prior Ballistic Missile experience.
