As a Network Development Engineer within the Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) Network Operations, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the stability and sustainability of next-generation IP networks that cater to the U.S. Intelligence Community. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, from the top of rack to the network core, collaborating with a team of elite Network Engineers to deliver efficient, sustainable, and repeatable solutions. You will leverage your expertise in network and Unix systems engineering to take full ownership of networking projects, focusing on deployment, implementation, scaling, and optimization. In this role, you will partner with the broader Infrastructure organization to establish configuration standards and tools, while also collaborating with Systems and Software Engineers to ensure the rapid and smooth rollout of new designs and products. Your contributions will also include deploying and maintaining networking software tools, which are critical for the operational success of our systems. The position requires a commitment to work-life balance, as the team supports 24/7 systems in a classified environment. This includes periodic on-call duties and the ability to respond to critical events as needed.
