As a Network Development Engineer within the Amazon Dedicated Cloud (ADC) Network Operations, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing the stability and sustainability of advanced IP networks that cater to the U.S. Intelligence Community. Your responsibilities will encompass a wide range of tasks, from the top of rack to the network core, collaborating with elite Network Engineers to deliver efficient, sustainable, and repeatable solutions. You will leverage your expertise in network and Unix systems engineering to take full ownership of networking projects, focusing on deployment, implementation, scaling, and optimization. In this role, you will work closely with the broader Infrastructure organization to establish configuration standards and tools, while also collaborating with Systems and Software Engineers to ensure the rapid and smooth rollout of new designs and products. Your contributions will also include deploying and maintaining networking software tools, which are essential for the operational success of our systems. The team operates in a classified environment, supporting 24/7 systems, which necessitates periodic on-call duties. You will be expected to drive into the workplace for critical events or needs, ensuring that our operations run smoothly.
