About the position

The Network DevOps Engineer SME at Arcarithm is responsible for developing, implementing, and managing the CI/CD Pipeline using tools such as GitLab and Nexus. This role involves automation, configuration management, and collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure effective deployment and management of software solutions in a dynamic environment. The position requires a strong understanding of network engineering principles and the ability to work under limited direction while providing innovative solutions to complex problems.

Responsibilities

  • Developing, implementing, and managing the CI/CD Pipeline with tools such as GitLab and Nexus.
  • Utilizing automation tools to enhance operational efficiency.
  • Executing configuration management processes, releases, and versioning of configurations for the infrastructure team.
  • Functioning as the Subject Matter Expert for CI/CD Pipeline, Automation, and Software Defined Networking.
  • Acting as a representative of the organization with program leadership and customers on significant technical matters.
  • Communicating with internal and external customers to provide solutions to technical issues.
  • Assuring proper documentation, training, and reporting for GitLab is completed.
  • Improving the release processes utilized by the ART.
  • Creating, maintaining, and presenting KPIs and metrics related to the CI/CD Pipeline and configuration management.
  • Building, training, and maintaining automation scripts to replace manual processes.

Requirements

  • An active DoD Secret clearance is required; TS is preferred.
  • A Bachelor of Science degree and 9 years of relevant experience or an Advanced degree with 7 years of experience.
  • Must possess DoD 8570 IAT Level II or higher (Security+, GSEC, SCNP, SSCP, CISSP, CISA, GSE, SCNA).
  • Knowledge of basic Network Engineering.
  • Experience in a DoD environment, preferably with C2BMC experience.
  • Experience working in Jira and Confluence.
  • Experience as a DevOps Engineer.

Nice-to-haves

  • Establishing and following processes throughout project life cycles for configuration control.
  • Experience with creating and maintaining a Continuous Integration/Continuous Deployment (preferably GitLab CI/CD).
  • Experience with maintaining a Hardware Configuration Management Plan.
  • Experience with managing large data repositories of documents and folder structure.
  • Experience with Ansible (preferably Ansible Automation Platform).
  • Experience with Containerization Binary & Artifact Management (preferably Nexus).
  • Experience utilizing tools such as Redhat Ansible, Powershell, bash, and Python for automation.
