About the position

As a Network Engineer 2 at Capgemini, you will play a crucial role in managing and optimizing our network infrastructure. Your primary responsibilities will include configuring and troubleshooting network devices using protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, and OSPF. You will be tasked with performing network traffic discovery by analyzing packet captures and driving issues to resolution. This position requires a deep understanding of L3 private IP MPLS carrier networks, particularly in relation to BGP peering and sophisticated private BGP WAN topologies, which include WAN CE routers and QoS policies. You will ensure the stability of the network 24/7, addressing any issues that arise promptly and effectively. In addition to troubleshooting, you will work with various networking tools such as Splunk, HPNA, and Aruba Mobility Master to analyze logs, configurations, and traffic utilization. Your role will also involve collaborating with Datacenter technicians to resolve hardware issues, which may include replacing faulty ports, cables, or devices. You will monitor alerts on the TSN Workstation and create incident responses, coordinating with the management team to ensure proper ticket resolution. Your expertise in SNMP monitoring tools, as well as your knowledge of networking technologies and protocols, will be essential in maintaining the integrity and performance of our network systems. Responsibilities

  • Configure and troubleshoot network devices using protocols like BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, and OSPF.
  • Perform network traffic discovery by analyzing packet captures and driving issues to resolution.
  • Analyze and fix L3 private IP MPLS carrier network via BGP peering.
  • Ensure stability of the network 24/7 by solving network systems including routers, switches, firewalls, access points, load balancers, and proxies.
  • Work with various networking tools to analyze logs, configurations, and traffic utilization.
  • Collaborate with Datacenter technicians to resolve hardware issues by replacing faulty ports, cables, or devices.
  • Monitor alerts on TSN Workstation and create incident responses, coordinating with the management team for ticket resolution.
  • Utilize SNMP monitoring tools to maintain network performance.

Requirements

  • Experience with network devices and protocols such as BGP, EIGRP, MPLS, and OSPF.
  • Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting network issues and performing traffic discovery.
  • Knowledge of L3 private IP MPLS carrier networks and BGP peering.
  • Familiarity with networking tools like Splunk, HPNA, and Aruba Mobility Master.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with Datacenter technicians and vendors to resolve hardware issues.
  • Experience with SNMP monitoring tools.
