Responsibilities

• Provide assistance in all aspects of network management from design through implementation and maintenance.
• Analyze design specifications and related documents.
• Implement communication system requirements to support distributed functionality.
• Analyze network characteristics such as traffic connect time, transmission speeds, and throughput.
• Troubleshoot network problems and recommend modifications to network components.
• Design solutions and integrate various types of network devices and methodologies.
• Optimize end-to-end system performance and dataflow management.
• Coordinate with system engineering to ensure proper mission operations with minimal downtime.
• Facilitate the implementation of scalable, fault-tolerant network topologies for WAN and LAN design.
• Implement network solutions to support server requirements including load-balancing and NAT.
• Minimize network latency and maximize data throughput through design analysis and monitoring tools.
• Lead efforts of dynamic requirements and scale.
• Work with system engineers and cross-organizational teams to define requirements.
• Resolve complex network problems using network analyzers and test equipment.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in engineering from an accredited college or university.
• Twelve (12) years of experience in programs and contracts of similar scope, type, and complexity.
• Four (4) years of additional network engineering experience may substitute for a Bachelor's degree.
• Five (5) years of experience with network tools such as What Up Gold and Netflow.
• Five (5) years of experience with SIGINT tools including Common View/Max View, Triton, and TUMMS.
