About the position

ENSCO IST is seeking a network engineer to support our Colorado Springs offices. The position requires onsite support during business hours of Monday through Friday, from 8am to 5pm Mountain Time. The engineer must prioritize end user and endpoint customer support and be available to respond immediately to any customer request. Customer support spans endpoint support, software support, network configurations, wifi configurations, and the ability to troubleshoot issues throughout Cisco network and security applications and devices, including Cisco routers and switches, Firepower Threat Defense, ASA VPN solutions, and Wireless Controllers and WAPs. The engineer must possess strong customer service and communication skills to facilitate their interactions with end users. The role involves working closely with various technologies and requires a proactive approach to problem-solving. The engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all network configurations are optimized for performance and security, and will need to stay updated on the latest technologies and best practices in network engineering. This position is critical in maintaining the integrity and efficiency of the company's IT infrastructure, ensuring that all systems are functioning correctly and securely. The engineer will also collaborate with other IT professionals to implement new technologies and improve existing systems, contributing to the overall success of the IST Division.

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite support for network and endpoint issues during business hours.
  • Respond immediately to customer requests for support.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues with Cisco routers, switches, and security applications.
  • Configure and maintain Cisco Wireless Controllers and WAPs.
  • Assist with software support and endpoint configurations.
  • Ensure optimal performance and security of network configurations.
  • Collaborate with IT team members to implement new technologies and improve existing systems.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and 5 years of closely related experience.
  • Expertise and experience with Cisco Wireless Controller and WAPs.
  • Expertise and experience with Cisco Identity Services Engine (ISE).
  • Expertise and experience with Cisco switches, routers, and firewalls (FTD, ASA, FMC).
  • Expertise and experience with endpoint wireless chipsets, drivers, and Windows configuration troubleshooting.
  • Excellent communication and customer support skills.
  • Must have CompTIA Sec+ Certification and CCNA (Cisco Certified Network Associate) Certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • 7 years of closely related experience.
