About the position

The position involves designing and planning multi-layered communications networks and associated cybersecurity solutions. The role requires performing requirements collection, analysis, and refinement, as well as providing technical recommendations to meet operational requirements. The candidate will also research and evaluate new network and cybersecurity technologies to enhance performance and security.

Responsibilities

• Performs requirements collection, analysis, and refinement.
• Designs and plans multi-layered communications networks and associated cybersecurity solutions.
• Provides input to specifications and detailed network architecture artifacts.
• Provides guidance on externally discoverable system details to maintain proper cyber posture.
• Develops integration strategies for proposed solutions.
• Researches, evaluates, and reports on new/emerging network/cybersecurity technologies.
• Provides input to the program Technology Roadmap.
• Provides independent verification and validation of vendor-recommended solutions.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• BS degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Computer/Electrical Engineering, or related field with a minimum of 5 years of experience with complex communications networks.
• Operational experience and/or knowledge of Special Operations Forces (SOF).
• Knowledge of complex cybersecurity technologies and solutions.
• Understanding of the DoD Architecture Framework and key DoD network architecture instructions.
• Experience with VLANs, 802.1Q, TCP/IP, Routing (BGP, OSPF), Firewalling, Wireless Networking, DNS, DHCP, Windows Networking, Windows, Linux, and Browser Fingerprints.
