About the position

The Network Engineer position at NTT DATA focuses on maintaining and optimizing computer networks in on-prem, Azure Cloud, and hybrid environments. The role involves working with firewalls, VPNs, routers, and other physical hardware to ensure secure and efficient network operations. The engineer will be responsible for installing and configuring network equipment, monitoring system performance, troubleshooting issues, and staying updated on security best practices.

Responsibilities

• Maintaining computer networks in on-prem, Azure Cloud, and Hybrid environments including firewalls, VPNs, routers, and other physical hardware.
• Installing and configuring network equipment.
• Creating firewalls and updating virus protection software and data security systems to keep data and communications protected.
• Monitoring computer systems to improve network performance for all systems.
• Troubleshooting, resolving, and communicating networking issues to other employees and management.
• Maintaining current knowledge and understanding of security and networking best practices to offer the best solutions.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in Network Engineering in both On-prem and Hybrid environments.
• Comprehensive understanding of network services and networks such as TCP/IP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
• In-depth understanding and hands-on experience of networking systems such as LAN, firewalls, checkpoint, and/or routers.
• Experience analyzing and evaluating networks, identifying issues, and providing solutions to ensure networks are operating efficiently.
• Experience designing, implementing, and troubleshooting Wi-Fi and security infrastructure.

Nice-to-haves

• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with a keen attention to detail.
• Having Illumio experience is ideal.
