About the position

Our client is currently seeking a Network Engineer- Data - III (Remote). This position requires a strong background in network engineering, particularly with IP Layer 1-3 for Edge Networks and a solid understanding of MPLS. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with virtualization of networks and a functional knowledge of TCP/IP (both IPv4 and IPv6). The role involves engineering spine and leaf fabric architecture networks in mobile switching centers across the western US territory. The candidate will need to understand network designs and translate them into usable configurations within the spine/leaf network. In this role, you will be responsible for building Methods of Procedure (MOPs) and deploying network configurations. You will also be tasked with building networks for interconnection to Cloud Platforms (VCP) to support growth, capacity, and expansion. Strong interaction with PNF and VNF applications teams is essential, as well as working with underlay and overlay controllers for network creation, modeling, and deployments. The position requires overseeing network builds from procurement to "In Service" and ensuring that new networks are built and migrated to meet KPIs. The candidate must possess a strong ability to understand end-to-end call flows for deploying network services and manage network engineering projects to deliver on time. This role will also involve project oversight and ownership, ensuring that all engineering tasks are completed efficiently and effectively. The work week will consist of 40 hours, primarily during the day, with occasional overnight maintenance window support required as needed.
