About the position

The Network Engineer position is a long-term contract role focused on the configuration, testing, and documentation of Routing and Switching products. The engineer will work collaboratively within a team to enhance lab infrastructure and ensure smooth operations, contributing to the certification process through technical documentation, network analysis, and automation solutions.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, test, and integrate automation solutions for certification requirements across product lines.
• Collaborate within a team for the entire lifecycle of the certification process, including technical documentation writing and network analysis.
• Test routers, switches, and wireless equipment, documenting findings and ensuring compliance with certification authority needs.

Requirements

• CCNA level networking knowledge and experience
• Network analysis skills
• Detail-oriented approach
• Lab testing experience
• Security and OS hardening experience
• Self-motivated and self-starter with demonstrated ability in IT Networking and Security
• Strong analytical and logical reasoning skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Good technical writing skills for drafting engineering documentation
• CCNA, CCNP, or similar certifications preferred
• Experience with test automation
• Working knowledge of networking technologies including network security, routing, switching, and cloud computing.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience in security and OS hardening
• Familiarity with cryptography/encryption
• Experience with network access technologies.
