As a Network Engineer I, you will play a crucial role in our Information Technology department, which is critical to patient care. This hybrid position is open to local Ohio candidates and involves working alongside passionate caregivers to provide patient-first healthcare. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, testing, and maintaining the network infrastructure, hardware, software, and associated systems. Your primary duties will include providing technical and operational support for the wired and wireless network infrastructure, routers, switches, and supporting hardware. You will ensure that established standards, policies, and procedures are being followed and maintain proper documentation of the network environment when changes or enhancements are made. Responsibilities

  • Installs, configures, and maintains network related hardware, software and supporting systems.
  • Generates and maintains network documentation.
  • Performs routine network Move, Add, Changes (MAC) and assigned tasks related to project type work.
  • Resolves daily network related production issues.
  • Assumes on-call rotation and is available off-hours to meet on-call requirements.
  • Travels to various sites to resolve technical issues if unable to resolve them remotely.
  • Provides input and makes recommendations for network designs, performance and capacity issues for new builds.
  • Provides input on the standards for the network environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, GED or Technical Degree required.
  • Associate's Degree preferred or equivalent of three years experience in a multi-network systems environment.
  • ITIL Foundations certification is required within 6 months of position start date.
  • Experience in a multi-network systems environment.

Nice-to-haves

  • Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods.
  • Ability to travel throughout the hospital system.
  • Ability to operate a computer and other office equipment.
  • Ability to communicate and exchange accurate information.
  • In some locations, ability to move up to 25 lbs.
