About the position

As a Network Engineer I at the Choctaw Nation, you will play a crucial role in supporting the network infrastructure, which includes LAN, WAN, Security, and VoIP systems. Your primary responsibility will be to implement necessary data connectivity solutions while collaborating closely with other Network Engineers and Network Systems Administrators. This position requires you to manage daily tickets that pertain to the support of all network devices utilized by the Choctaw Nation Government. You will be reporting directly to the Network Systems Manager, ensuring that all network-related issues are addressed efficiently and effectively. In this role, you will be expected to work on network tickets under the guidance of lead Network Engineers, adhering to established procedures and protocols. Your focus will be on providing 100% positive end-user support and feedback regarding the tickets you handle. You will also be tasked with resolving problems of limited scope, utilizing standard procedures to analyze situations or data to derive solutions. Building stable working relationships internally will be essential as you learn to apply professional concepts and company procedures to resolve routine issues. Additionally, you may be assigned other tasks as needed, contributing to the overall success of the network team and the Choctaw Nation's mission of providing opportunities for growth and prosperity.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Associate degree or 2 years related experience.
  • No technical Certifications needed.
