About the position

The Network Engineer II is a pivotal role responsible for the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure tailored for managed service clients. This position requires a proactive approach to monitoring and troubleshooting network issues, ensuring that security measures are effectively implemented to safeguard client networks. A significant focus of this role is on the integration of advanced networking solutions such as SD-WAN (Software-Defined Wide Area Network), SASE (Secure Access Service Edge), and NaaS (Network as a Service) into customer environments. The Network Engineer II will engage in direct communication with clients, providing essential technical support and guidance as needed. In this role, the engineer will work independently and demonstrate a self-starter attitude, collaborating closely with Managed Service Providers, Architects, Security teams, and other Engineers to drive network transformation initiatives, improvements, and conduct Proof of Concepts. The responsibilities include designing and implementing networking solutions, assisting in the selection of tools and products, and conducting comprehensive reviews of design documents. The ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear verbal and written communications for both technical and non-technical audiences is crucial. The position also involves creating documentation and presentations, providing recommendations for the development of the Technology roadmap, and ensuring adherence to established standards and reference architectures.
