About the position

The Aristocrat Class II Network Engineer is responsible for designing, installing, configuring, and supporting the network infrastructure for the Class II client base. This role requires critical thinking, data analysis, and a focus on continuous quality improvements and customer service. The ideal candidate will be a problem-solver with strong communication skills, capable of working independently and managing network operations effectively.

Responsibilities

  • Architect networking solutions for the Class II environment and products.
  • Manage and plan the network setup and configuration for internal and remote sites.
  • Assist in configuring network equipment for successful product implementation.
  • Troubleshoot network issues encountered at local and remote sites.
  • Identify and resolve operational problems and make necessary recommendations to minimize downtime.
  • Monitor performance and ensure system availability and reliability.
  • Monitor system resource utilization and capacity planning.
  • Work within established configuration and change management policies.
  • Resolve problems related to network equipment, server and client system failures, and routing issues.
  • Provide 24-hour support to Aristocrat Service Center Support Staff, field technicians, and customers.
  • Maintain Class II Operations and Class II Equipment operational 24/7.
  • Work closely with field personnel and customers during product installations.
  • Provide ad-hoc technical training to team members on network infrastructure hardware and applications.
  • Manage the technical process of new installations and upgrades of the network infrastructure.
  • Plan, implement, and execute Business Continuity and Disaster Recovery procedures.
  • Independently configure, prepare, and test network infrastructure equipment and associated applications.
  • Maintain and verify data integrity of the Class II domain infrastructure system.
  • Analyze data trends and reproduce issues in test and lab environments.
  • Work with gaming regulators to ensure proper operation of Class II products.
  • Document and update in-house knowledge database for Class II networking issues.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or related field, or equivalent experience.
  • Cisco Certified Network Administration (CCNA) or equivalent certification.
  • 7+ years of work experience or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years experience in a related technical service and support role.
  • Proven hands-on network engineering experience.
  • Solid understanding of networking protocols (e.g., IPSEC, OSPF, BGP, EIGRP, QoS).
  • Hands-on experience with monitoring, network diagnostic, and network analytics tools.
  • Experience with Firewalls (Palo Alto, Cisco).
  • Experience with setup and administration of Palo Alto firewalls preferred.
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity concepts and best practices.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently with little direction.
  • Proven customer relation skills.
  • Ability to obtain gaming license in all jurisdictions with Aristocrat Class II products.
  • Strong analytical, problem identification, and problem-solving abilities.
