About the position

The Network Engineer position at Walmart Global Tech involves leveraging existing network engineering experience to support and enhance the Walmart network. The successful candidate will work within a team of network engineers, participate in large deployment projects, and provide network escalation support. This role is crucial for maintaining the foundational technologies that support Walmart's tech organization, ensuring a secure and seamless experience for employees and customers across various platforms.

Responsibilities

• Participate in an on-call rotation providing network escalation support for the Network Operations Center(s)
• Assist in the successful deployment of new equipment and technologies throughout the Walmart network
• Collaborate in a team environment, share knowledge, and help provide network solutions that benefit customers.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, information technology, information systems, electrical engineering, or related area
• 3 years' experience in large-scale networking environments or related area
• Network engineering experience at large scale
• Hands-on experience deploying and troubleshooting Versa SDWAN
• Positive attitude and team mentality
• Attention to detail, ability to clearly communicate ideas verbally and in writing.

Nice-to-haves

• Background in creating inclusive digital experiences
• Knowledge in implementing Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 AA standards
• Familiarity with assistive technologies and integrating digital accessibility seamlessly
• CISCO Certification.
