About the position

The Technical Intern position at Sierra Nevada Corporation (SNC) offers a unique opportunity for college students to gain hands-on experience in the aerospace and defense industry. Interns will work alongside industry experts on real-world projects, receiving mentoring and coaching throughout their internship. This program is designed to prepare interns for a successful career by providing exposure to fundamental business processes, technical skills, and the company culture. The internship typically lasts 10-12 weeks during the summer, with the potential for full-time employment upon graduation based on performance.

Responsibilities

• Ask questions and get involved in projects
• Complete assignments as tasked by the team
• Participate in planning meetings
• Learn and apply business processes and procedures
• Engage in cross-functional workshops and meetings with leadership
• General networking troubleshooting
• Device configuration
• Inventory IDF/MDP cleanup

Requirements

• Must be a Sophomore, Junior, or Senior in college or technical school
• At least 6 months until graduation after the end of the internship
• Strong skills in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
• Ability to work in a highly collaborative team environment
• Strong organization skills and work ethic; detail-oriented

Nice-to-haves

• Microsoft Access skills
• Pursuing a degree in engineering or a related discipline
• CCNA certification
