About the position
We are seeking a skilled Network Engineer specializing in IoT to join our client's team in the Hi Tech Engineering industry. This role involves implementing network configurations, evaluating IoT hardware options, and providing technical leadership in a dynamic and innovative environment. The position offers a hybrid work model and a flexible salary based on experience.
Responsibilities
- Execute network configurations and edge-based aspirations to meet the needs of engineering, operations, and major clients.
- Investigate and review a diverse range of IoT devices, including switch/firewalls, radios, mobile modems, GPUs, IP cameras, and IP security systems.
- Keep up-to-date with data network security technologies to ensure cost-effectiveness and alignment with business objectives.
- Troubleshoot and resolve IoT-related issues to guarantee seamless operations.
- Collaborate closely with in-house IoT development teams and partnered service providers to ideate, examine, test, develop, and deliver functional solutions.
- Assess, choose, and launch tools to manage, measure, monitor, and relay information about device, network, and system features.
- Offer technical leadership to the product design team, promoting standardization and automation.
Requirements
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in Network Engineering.
- Proficiency in AWS IoT.
- Comprehensive understanding and practical experience of LAN vs. WAN.
- Ability to work with GPUs and handle hardware components.
- Thorough knowledge of Internet Protocol (IP) and troubleshooting network issues.
- Experience with Gateways to ensure seamless data flow in the network.
- Skills in Common Scripting for automation and simplification of tasks.
- Proficiency in Linux operating system.
- Competence in using Microsoft Windows.
