About the position

Our client is currently seeking a Sr. Network Engineer who will lead in network planning, architecture design, and engineering. This role involves integrating communication architectures, topologies, hardware, software, transmission and signaling links, and protocols into complete network configurations. The engineer will evaluate new products and perform network problem resolution, assisting in the development and documentation of technical standards. The position requires the implementation of approved methods of procedure and a high level of experience with firewalls, specifically ASA or SRX, as well as load balancing technologies such as F5 or A10. Additionally, the candidate should have extensive experience in configuring and troubleshooting routers and switches from manufacturers like Cisco and Juniper. The Sr. Network Engineer will be highly skilled in Network Operations and will proactively support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience. This includes implementing and assisting in designing corporate standards, developing and implementing network enhancements, and making recommendations for improvement. The engineer will work on projects, systems, and issues of varying complexity surrounding network planning, configuration, and optimization. To qualify for this position, candidates must possess a Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent work experience, along with a minimum of four years of data network experience with Cisco and/or Juniper. The role also requires advanced knowledge of related industry specifications and standards, including IEEE, ANSI, and various physical media types. Experience with network design, architecture, protocols, and topology is essential, as is a strong understanding of TCP/IP and the OSI Model. The candidate should be proficient in using ticketing and software tools to support current operations and have experience with network devices and basic network appliances. Strong experience with network designing software, such as Visio, is also required. The ability to perform duties in a fast-paced environment and learn new technology quickly is crucial.

Requirements
