About the position

The Network Engineer IV position is responsible for data center engineering, focusing on architecture, design, automation, operational enhancements, and quality assurance testing. This senior-level role requires expertise in load balancing, programming, and automation, particularly with Python. The engineer will work on enhancing network deployments and evaluating new data center technologies in a lab environment, ensuring a multi-vendor strategy is utilized to meet operational demands.

Responsibilities

• Work on architecture, design, automation, operational enhancements, and quality assurance testing for data center engineering.
• Plan, design, and evaluate new data center platforms and technologies in a lab environment.
• Utilize architecture and design to enhance network deployments.
• Update network tools and platforms, including monitoring systems, inventory systems, and reporting tools.
• Collaborate with partners to drive platform features and functions.

Requirements

• Experience with Cisco Nexus or Arista for routing and switching.
• Familiarity with F5 or A10 for load balancing.
• Knowledge of Juniper or Palo Alto firewalls and a solid understanding of firewall technology.
• Ability to run, fix, and edit existing Python scripts.
• Understanding of Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) and other routing protocols.
