Currently, ManTech is seeking a motivated, career and customer-oriented Junior Computer Network Support Specialist to join our team in the DMV area. As a Junior Computer Network Support Specialist, you will assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of computer networks within the organization, working under the guidance of Senior Engineers to support the organization's network infrastructure. Your role will involve assisting in the configuration, installation, and maintenance of network devices, such as routers, switches, firewalls, and wireless access points. You will troubleshoot network issues, analyze logs, and implement corrective actions to ensure smooth network operation. Additionally, you will assist in implementing and maintaining network security measures, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and access controls. You will also monitor network security events, analyze vulnerabilities, and implement appropriate security patches and updates. Collaboration with other IT Teams, such as System Administrators, Database Administrators, and Security Teams, will be essential to ensure seamless integration and optimal performance of the network infrastructure. Furthermore, you will assist Senior Engineers in the planning and execution of network-related projects, such as network upgrades, migrations, and expansions.

Responsibilities

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in an IT-related discipline.
  • DoD 8570.01-m- IAT Level II Certification must be obtained within 6 months of commencing work on the Task Order: CCNA-Security, CySA+, GICSP, GSEC, Security+ CE, CND, SSCP.

Nice-to-haves

  • Relevant industry standard certifications such as CompTIA Network+, Cisco/Juniper, or AWS Advanced Networking.
