About the position

The Network Engineer Lead position at CompQsoft involves establishing network information requirements through the analysis of network engineers in the development of enterprise-wide or large-scale networking infrastructure, including Campus Area Networks (CAN), Metropolitan Area Networks (MAN), and Wide Area Networks (WAN). The role requires designing architecture that encompasses software, hardware, and communications to meet both current and future cross-functional requirements and interfaces. The Network Engineer Lead is responsible for ensuring that network systems are compatible and comply with standards for open systems architectures, including the Open Systems Interconnection (OSI) model and International Standards Organization (ISO) reference models. This includes adherence to standards set by the Institute of Electrical and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) for Open Systems Environment (OSE) as they relate to the implementation and specification of Information Management (IM) solutions across network layers, application program interfaces (APIs), and external software applications. In this role, the Network Engineer Lead will evaluate problems related to workflows and network usage systematically and analytically, developing appropriate corrective actions as necessary. The position also involves providing daily supervision and direction to staff, ensuring that the team meets its objectives and maintains high standards of performance. The successful candidate will have a strong background in network engineering, with at least 10 years of experience, and will be expected to lead projects and mentor junior engineers. This position is located at Schriever Space Force Base in Colorado, and candidates must possess an active Top Secret clearance or higher, along with any IAT Level II certification.
