HealthPartners is seeking a Network Engineer Lead who will serve as a subject matter expert in various Network Infrastructure areas. This role is pivotal in ensuring the design, development, maintenance, and monitoring of the core network infrastructure components that support connectivity across the Enterprise. The Network Engineer Lead will be responsible for optimizing the use of the network infrastructure by conducting needs analyses, providing procurement support, overseeing installation, monitoring, configuration, and ensuring security integrity. Additionally, this position will involve problem resolution and providing direction and mentoring to staff members. The Network Engineer Lead will engage in a variety of tasks including designing, implementing, and maintaining all network infrastructure components such as switches, routers, firewalls, load balancers, remote access systems, and wireless systems. The role also requires participation in root cause analysis to recommend product enhancements that improve reliability and functionality. The individual will provide Tier 3 network troubleshooting and support, ensuring optimal performance and maximum availability of network devices. Furthermore, the position involves automation, customization, and system administration for network infrastructure, collaborating with other IS&T teams and business units to enhance functionality in support of business needs. In addition to technical responsibilities, the Network Engineer Lead will partner with the Security team to design and develop network structures that meet security requirements, assess security risks, and propose solutions for risk mitigation. The role also includes responding to audits and requests for information, monitoring network capacity, and developing strategies for architectural changes to accommodate future needs. The individual will manage network projects across technical infrastructure services, ensuring effective collaboration and timely completion while providing daily work direction and mentorship to network staff. This position is essential for assessing current architecture for gaps and recommending necessary changes to improve the overall network infrastructure.
