Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer Lead to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will collaborate with a small group of experts to design and build networks that simulate various real-world scenarios. Your primary responsibility will be to support these networks while simulated threat actors attempt to breach the network security, allowing us to test and enhance our security techniques and practices. You will also be tasked with automating the quick deployment and redeployment of both physical and virtual systems as needed to support these simulation environments. Additionally, you will play a crucial role in maintaining existing networks, ensuring they operate efficiently and securely. As a Network Engineer Lead, you will configure and optimize physical and virtual network firewalls, routers, and switches. You will develop and implement network backup and recovery procedures, as well as maintain automation processes to build and rebuild network environments. Diagnosing network connectivity problems will be a key part of your responsibilities, along with installing and maintaining network infrastructure device operating system software. You will also be responsible for monitoring network capacity and performance, patching vulnerabilities, and testing network infrastructure, including both software and hardware devices. During simulated attacks, you will monitor the network and report any suspicious activity, ensuring the integrity and security of our systems. In addition to these technical responsibilities, you will configure and maintain Type 1 Inline Network Encryptors and cross-domain solutions. You will be expected to apply advanced principles, theories, and concepts to your work, contributing to the development of innovative ideas and solutions for complex problems. Your role will involve providing advice and counsel to the organization in your area of expertise, working under consultative direction toward long-range targets, and supporting other networks and teams as needed.
