About the position

The Network Engineer Level 2 position involves providing daily support to customers by executing routine requests received through the Help Desk while maintaining service levels and availability of IT resources. The role is responsible for managing issues related to network systems, implementing and deploying network systems design, and troubleshooting related issues. Additionally, the engineer will develop standard operating procedures, participate in IT projects, gather requirements from business partners, and execute business continuity and recovery plans.

Responsibilities

  • Provide daily support to customers by executing routine requests received through the Help Desk.
  • Manage all issues/problems related to network systems.
  • Actualize, implement, and deploy network systems design.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to network systems implementation.
  • Develop and communicate standard operating procedures and network documentation.
  • Participate in various IT and corporate projects related to network systems administration.
  • Gather requirements from business partners to design solutions that meet business needs.
  • Execute business continuity and recovery plans for the organization.
  • Provide subject matter expertise to address business needs related to network systems.
  • Interpret customer business requirements based on feedback and analysis.

Requirements

  • Strong understanding and experience with networking protocols (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, BGP, OSPF, and VLANs).
  • Proficiency in network hardware and software configuration.
  • Proficient in using network analysis and troubleshooting tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work both independently and in a team setting.
  • Time management and organizational skills.
  • Adaptability and willingness to learn new technologies.

Nice-to-haves

  • Cisco CCNA certification (preferred).
  • Cisco CCDA certification (preferred).
