About the position

As a Network Engineer Level 4 at IntelliGenesis, you will play a crucial role in supporting the Department of Defense and Intelligence Community customers by providing advanced analysis support to the Strategic Vulnerability Assessment Team, commonly referred to as the Blue Team. Your primary responsibility will be to enhance Defensive Cybersecurity operations through the development of innovative solutions and prototypes that address both new and existing cybersecurity challenges. This position requires a high level of collaboration, as you will work directly with customers in a fast-paced environment utilizing leading technologies to ensure the security and integrity of critical systems. In addition to your primary duties, you will have the opportunity to support various missions, including Red, Hunt, and JCMA missions, as needed. Mentorship is a key aspect of this role, as you will be expected to guide and support other team members while also being open to learning new techniques and tools from your peers. Your analytical skills will be essential in identifying areas for process improvement, and you will be encouraged to propose effective solutions to enhance operational efficiency. Furthermore, you will provide integration and training support for a Cyber Range, contributing to the overall development of cybersecurity capabilities within the organization. This position also offers a secondary opportunity to support the Data Science team, allowing you to leverage your skills in a broader context and contribute to various aspects of the organization's mission.

Responsibilities

  • Provide analysis support to the Strategic Vulnerability Assessment Team (Blue Team) in support of Defensive Cybersecurity.
  • Develop solutions in support of Defensive Cybersecurity Operations.
  • Develop prototypes to answer new questions and improve existing answers.
  • Work directly with the customer in a collaborative, fast-paced environment using leading technologies.
  • Support Blue Team missions and assist with Red, Hunt, and JCMA missions as required.
  • Mentor other team members and learn techniques and tools from peers.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and suggest solutions.
  • Provide integration and training support for a Cyber Range.
  • Support the Data Science team as a secondary opportunity.

Requirements

  • US Citizens Only
  • TS/SCI clearance with polygraph
  • Bachelor's degree plus 11 years of relevant experience, or Doctoral degree plus 7 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree plus 9 years of relevant experience, or Associate's degree plus 13 years of relevant experience, or high school diploma/GED plus 15 years of relevant experience with in-depth experience related to the position.
  • Computer Science (CS) degree or related field
  • Cybersecurity expertise
  • System vulnerability analysis experience in at least one of these areas: Windows, Unix, Infrastructure (Networks)
  • Experience with Splunk or similar tools.
