The Network Engineer for the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) in the Philippines will play a crucial role in configuring, securing, and maintaining information systems access and services. This position involves managing both hardware and virtual environments to support the MCPP-PHIL Task Order. The engineer will be responsible for developing and enforcing network policies, as well as overseeing the resourcing and allocation of necessary equipment and materials. The role requires a strong understanding of the Marine Corps' operational needs and the ability to implement effective information management services that utilize various computer systems, hardware, and software. The initial training for this position will take place in Jacksonville, Florida, followed by specialized training with the USMC Contractor Replenishment Cell (CRC) to prepare for deployment to Subic Bay, Philippines. The Network Engineer will report directly to the MCPP-PHIL Project Manager and will be integral in ensuring that the Marine Corps' prepositioning capabilities are supported by robust and secure information systems. This includes planning, coordinating, and implementing services that enhance the operational readiness of Marine Air Ground Task Forces (MAGTFs) and other deployed units. In addition to technical responsibilities, the Network Engineer will also implement a customer Help Desk management system and a risk management program to ensure the integrity and security of the network infrastructure. This position is vital for maintaining the operational effectiveness of the Marine Corps' prepositioning efforts, which are essential for national security and crisis response.
