The Network Engineer for the Marine Corps Prepositioning Program (MCPP) in the Philippines will play a critical role in configuring, securing, and maintaining information systems access and services. This position involves managing both hardware and virtual environments to support the MCPP-PHIL Task Order. The engineer will be responsible for developing and enforcing network policies, as well as resourcing and allocating necessary equipment and materials. The role requires a strong understanding of the Marine Corps' operational needs and the ability to implement effective information management services that utilize various computer systems, hardware, and software. The initial training for this position will take place in Jacksonville, Florida, followed by specialized training for placement in Subic Bay, Philippines. The Network Engineer will report directly to the MCPP-PHIL Project Manager and will be expected to coordinate and implement information management services, ensuring that all systems are secure and functioning optimally. This includes installing, configuring, maintaining, and upgrading data systems and peripheral hardware, as well as administering user security and access policies. In addition to technical responsibilities, the Network Engineer will implement a customer Help Desk management system and a risk management program to address any potential vulnerabilities in the network infrastructure. The role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to analyze and resolve network and server issues efficiently. The successful candidate will have a strong background in information systems management and a commitment to supporting the Marine Corps' mission through effective technology solutions.
