About the position

The Senior Network Engineer role is designed for an experienced professional with a strong background in network design, development, and troubleshooting. This position requires a deep understanding of various networking technologies and protocols, as well as the ability to lead major network projects and ensure compliance with security standards. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in enterprise networking and cloud solutions, along with relevant certifications to validate their expertise.

Responsibilities

• Designing, developing, analyzing, troubleshooting, and documenting computer networks and infrastructure.
• Developing and analyzing network designs and protocols including prototyping and assessment.
• Leading and/or assisting in major network projects to support capacity growth upgrades and new products/features, and integration standards.
• Training support personnel on the conversion, implementation, and troubleshooting of network systems.
• Applying in-depth knowledge of standards, guidelines, industry trends for LAN, WAN, Wireless, Data Center, and Cloud networking.
• Ensuring security compliance and adherence to change control processes and standards.
• Providing upper tier diagnosis, isolation, and resolution of network problems.
• Identifying and documenting root causes of network issues.
• Proactively identifying potential issues in the production environment and recommending solutions.
• Developing comprehensive graphical and text-based documentation for network designs and implementations.
• Acting as the escalation point of contact and lead engineer for network implementations, providing ongoing support and maintenance.

Requirements

• 10+ years of experience in network engineering.
• Active CCIE or CCNP certification in Enterprise or Security issued within the last four years.
• Palo Alto Networks Certified Network Security Engineer (PCNSE) Certification.
• Prisma Certified Cloud Security Engineer (PCCSE) Certification from Palo Alto Networks.
• Experience with Layer 2 & 3 optimization and boundary virtual switching systems.
• Knowledge of scalable routing protocols (BGP, EIGRP, OSPF).
• Experience in Enterprise Data Center and cloud networking for Virtualization, SDN, Load Balancing, and storage.
• Familiarity with Zero Trust Network Access and micro-segmentation.
• Understanding of High Availability in Enterprise environments.
• Experience with advanced WAN service layers, SDWANs, and WAN Optimization applications.
• Knowledge of current Network Security Services applications, services, and appliances.

Nice-to-haves

• Ability to work independently and troubleshoot complex network issues.
• Experience mentoring junior associates.
• Proficiency in producing technical documents such as diagrams, design documents, project plans, and user instructions.
