OneNeck IT Solutions is seeking an experienced Network Engineer based in the greater Plano, TX area. This position will lead complex projects and provide advanced level technical network planning, implementation, configuration, support, and troubleshooting services on product lines or service groups we sponsor. The Network Engineer is responsible for the engineering and leading of teams in the deployment of LAN infrastructure. The solutions are designed to provide predictable and reliable high-quality networking solutions throughout North America. This position will work with business-facing teams and users to design appropriate solutions that meet business requirements for network demands across locations. The Network Engineer analyzes requirements and designs technical solutions for complex issues. This position evaluates the technical and economic feasibility of systems solutions (e.g., costs, benefits, feature/functionality, interoperability, scalability, maintainability, etc.) based on the full technology life cycle. The Network Engineer will support objectives by ensuring the stability and availability of network hardware and software, by planning capacity of the network infrastructure for Campus, Data Centers, and remote sites. This position will also collaborate with other network, security, and domain architects to evaluate and introduce new technology standards. The primary focus of this role is to plan, configure, implement, and document solutions in a complex network environment in support of new and existing cloud technology architectures. The Network Engineer will measure, optimize, and tune network performance and ensure that systems will run reliably and are highly available. This includes supporting a Cisco-centric WAN, LAN, and WLAN environment, which encompasses routers, firewalls, security, and WLAN. The role also involves building a bill of materials (BOM), coordinating resources, tracking execution, and validating deployment/upgrade of equipment/site. Additionally, the Network Engineer will supervise and/or perform site installs, maintenance, upgrades, or software enhancements to support the network infrastructure needs. This position functions as a point of escalation for operational entities regarding regular or complex issues, monitoring systems for trouble areas and proactively resolving and documenting root causes. The Network Engineer will lead contingent workers, partners, and site resources to the successful completion of network refreshes.
