About the position

SAIC is seeking a Network Engineer to support the Air Operations Center Weapons System (AOC WS) Falconer Program. This hybrid remote position involves significant interaction with customers and contractors, requiring expertise in Radio Frequency (RF) and configuration management principles. The role includes responsibilities for the sustainment and support of the AOC RF and Datalink baseline, as well as participation in major upgrade projects and technical meetings.

Responsibilities

  • Day to day sustainment & support of the installed Air Operations Center (AOC) RF and Datalink baseline.
  • Support major upgrade projects.
  • Provide technical expertise and support to assist AOC sites in mitigating risks during transitions between fielded baselines.
  • Help site Radio and Datalink Maintainers/Administrators increase their proficiency on the fielded RF/Datalink baseline.
  • Provide support at AOC sites during contracted on-site training provided by the program office.
  • Assist in closing action items noted in the Fielding Summary Memorandum (FSM) and Site-Specific Engineering Plan (SSEP).
  • Develop FSM and SSEP as required to document Radio/Datalink installations and upgrades.
  • Assist site personnel with configuration, troubleshooting, and migration to new AOC RF and Datalink infrastructure components.
  • Capture site variances for the configuration management process and data migration as required.
  • Attend technical exchange meetings and AOC PC engineering and integration meetings.
  • Submit recommended changes to AOC configuration management personnel.
  • Provide recommendations on performance and security issues related to AOC baselines.
  • Complete all applicable fielding objectives by deadlines.
  • Track lessons learned and metrics and share with team members.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree and 9 years or more experience, or Master's degree and 5 years or more experience.
  • Current DoD Secret security clearance, eligible for SCI.
  • Current IAT Level 2 Certification (Sec+ or higher).

Nice-to-haves

  • Familiarity with military RF communication/Datalinks.
  • Experience in mission management or command & control domains.
  • Knowledge of RF/Datalink systems administration roles and functions, including requirements management and configuration management processes.
  • Two or more years of experience with at least four specified hardware/software platforms.
