About the position

The Senior Network Administrator role involves designing, developing, and implementing innovative network security solutions to enhance national security. The position requires overseeing the deployment of Gigamon Deep Observability Pipeline and GigaVUE Fabric Manager, managing a team to troubleshoot complex challenges, and researching new technologies to refine security solutions. The role is critical in protecting data and networks from threats, with a focus on team growth and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships quickly with other teams and communicate security complexities to various audiences, including senior management.
• Manage infrastructure and cyber security controls, enhancing detection and vulnerability capabilities in large enterprises.
• Lead risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas, using analytics to identify advanced threats.
• Oversee the deployment of Gigamon Appliances and network taps.

Requirements

• Experience with architecting and designing IP networks, including developing and documenting network topologies.
• Experience with troubleshooting and restoring network and system outages.
• Experience with designing and implementing DoD enclaves, including compute storage, networking, routing, switching, firewalls, and end-user devices.
• Active TS/SCI clearance; willingness to take a polygraph exam.
• HS diploma or GED.
• DoD IAT Level III Certification.
• DoD CSSP-IS Certification.

Nice-to-haves

• Experience with Linux OS administration and management.
• Knowledge of building and maintaining SolarWinds NPM and IPAM.
• Ability to be a self-starter and work without considerable direction.
• Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills, including for coordinating efforts and establishing customer relations.
• Bachelor's degree.
