About the position

As a Senior Network Engineer at Booz Allen Hamilton, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and implementing innovative network security solutions to protect national interests. This position involves overseeing the deployment of IT and cyber tools, particularly FireEye Infrastructure tools, and managing a team to troubleshoot complex challenges. You will also be responsible for researching new technologies and refining security solutions to enhance the enterprise security posture.

Responsibilities

  • Develop relationships quickly with other teams and communicate security complexities to various audiences, including senior management.
  • Implement infrastructure and cyber security controls to enhance detection and vulnerability capabilities in large enterprises.
  • Perform risk and vulnerability assessments in network, system, and application areas, leveraging big data analytics to identify advanced threats.
  • Oversee the development and implementation of network security solutions to improve the enterprise security posture.

Requirements

  • Experience with architecting and designing IP networks, including developing and documenting network topologies.
  • Experience with troubleshooting and restoring network and system outages.
  • Experience with designing and implementing DoD enclaves, including compute storage, networking, routing, switching, firewalls, and end-user devices.
  • Experience with IT and cyber tools, particularly FireEye Infrastructure tools such as MVX, NX, HX, PX, IA, AX, and IAS PCAP.
  • Knowledge of multi-domain architectures, including data center, WAN, and LAN in virtualized architectures.
  • Active TS/SCI clearance and willingness to take a polygraph exam.
  • HS diploma or GED with 12+ years of experience, Associate's degree with 10+ years, Bachelor's degree with 8+ years, or Master's degree with 6+ years of experience in supporting IT projects and activities.
  • DoD IAT Level III Certification.
  • DoD CSSP-IS Certification.

Nice-to-haves

  • Experience with Linux OS administration and management.
  • Knowledge of Agile tools, such as the Atlassian Suite, including JIRA and Confluence.
  • Ability to be a self-starter and work without considerable direction.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills for coordinating efforts and establishing customer relations.
