About the position

The Senior Network Engineer position at Oneida Technical Solutions, LLC involves supporting the U.S. Army Network Enterprise Technology Command by performing a variety of network engineering tasks. The role focuses on the design, implementation, testing, and troubleshooting of complex network infrastructures, ensuring compliance with security requirements, and providing 24/7 support for network operations.

Responsibilities

• Perform network engineering tasks focused on the design, implementation, testing, and troubleshooting of the RNEC-NCR network infrastructure.
• Respond to critical and VIP tickets within two hours of notification by the appropriate Government authority.
• Install new and modified hardware, operating systems, and software applications while ensuring compliance with Information Assurance security requirements.
• Maintain critical components of the ICAN from the edge router to the Area Distribution Switches on a 24/7 on-call basis.
• Configure and support the use of DOD Common Access Card (CAC) and Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) for user authentication.
• Complete equipment installations, movements, additions, and changes to maintain the network ICAN infrastructure.
• Implement and maintain software and application configuration management and reporting.
• Install/update anti-virus software and security patches to protect against vulnerabilities.
• Ensure only approved personnel have access to the Fort Belvoir network.

Requirements

• Minimum of 6-10 years of experience in network engineering.
• Must possess a SECRET security clearance.
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent.
• Minimum of three years of relevant experience in network engineering tasks.
• IAT-II certification (Networking Environments) as per DoD 8570 requirements.
• CompTIA Security+ certification.
• CCNP Certification is required.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
