About the position

Join one of GDIT's fastest-growing programs, the US Battlefield Information Collection and Exploitation System eXtended (US BICES-X), which supports DoD intelligence information sharing on global threats. As a Network Engineer Sr Advisor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems that support the USBICES-X program. This involves monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software associated with operating systems. You will leverage your communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve issues, maximizing the benefits of IT systems investments. Additionally, you will mentor, train, guide, and provide oversight to junior team members, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team environment. In this role, you will collaborate with network staff to ensure the smooth operation of software and systems, working closely with executive team members and stakeholders to define business requirements and resolve systems issues. You will design and define network architecture for new or existing systems, perform complex network development and design work, and participate in upgrading operating systems and designing network enhancements. Your responsibilities will also include identifying, analyzing, and resolving network problems, providing training and technical guidance, and conducting site surveys to gather requirements for local and remote installations. This position may require short-term deployments to other Areas of Responsibility (AORs), and you must be willing to travel.
