Our work depends on a Network Engineer Team Lead (CCIE) joining our team to support the Army Global Unified Network (AGUN) program in Falls Church, VA. This is an IT Service Management contract in support of GENM-O's mission to enable information dominance from the tactical edge to the home station for the Army, DoD, National Command Authority, and international partners by acquiring, implementing, and sustaining strategic satellite and terrestrial communication systems, and by leveraging technologies to meet current and future requirements. AGUN is to design, procure, maintain, deploy, and transition a Global SDN solution in accordance with applicable Army policies and regulations. The AGUN-INC1 TO will provide a unified approach to ensure standardized deployments and configurations at multiple locations throughout the globe. To be successful in this position you need to be collaborative and willing to work within a team. While you will need to be a self-starter completing tasks on your own, working together is critical in this role. You will be interfacing with the client and senior staff. Therefore, you should be articulate in your communications because your opinion matters. You will need to explain technical intricacies in a way that is easily understood. As a Network Engineer Team Lead (CCIE), you will manage network administrators and engineers, design, configure, maintain, operate, and troubleshoot switches in coordination with teams to achieve and maintain connectivity with other Government agencies. You will also manage and maintain the status of operations and monitoring using incidents, problems, and requests in the service management tool. Planning and performing maintenance within established operational governance structures, policies, and operating procedures will be essential to ensure minimal operational downtime for critical, scheduled, and unscheduled maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage network administrators and engineers.
  • Design, configure, maintain, operate, and troubleshoot switches in coordination with teams.
  • Achieve and maintain connectivity with other Government agencies.
  • Manage and maintain status of operations and monitoring using incidents, problems, and requests in the service management tool.
  • Plan and perform maintenance within established operational governance structures, policies, and operating procedures ensuring minimal operational downtime.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of related experience in Information Technology.
  • Possesses a CCIE certification.
  • Experience designing and implementing SD-WAN.
  • Appropriately certified for their designated role in accordance with DoD 8570.01-M, DFARS 252.239-7001, AR 25-2, or any successor policies or regulations; possesses a DoD 8570.01 approved baseline certification or higher.
  • US Citizenship required.
