About the position

Parsons is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer to join our team at Ramstein Air Base, Germany. This role is pivotal in providing specifications and detailed schematics for network architecture, ensuring that our systems are robust, secure, and efficient. As a Network Engineer, you will be responsible for configuring and managing a variety of network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls. You will implement and maintain essential routing protocols such as EIGRP and OSPF, as well as manage DMVPN, Multicast, SNMP, and IPSec protocols. Your expertise will also extend to configuring Access Control Lists (ACLs) to enhance network security and applying Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to network devices to ensure compliance with security standards. In addition to these responsibilities, you will manage and configure COMSEC devices, including Taclanes (KG175D, KG250s), and oversee the configuration and maintenance of IPS 250 devices. A significant part of your role will involve implementing and managing PALO Firewalls, with a particular focus on Palo Altos, and ensuring secure data transfer through Cross Domain Solutions (CDS). This position is not only critical for maintaining the integrity of our network but also plays a vital role in supporting our Federal Solutions team, which delivers essential resources to our US government customers. Responsibilities

  • Configure and manage network devices, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • Implement and maintain routing protocols such as EIGRP and OSPF.
  • Manage DMVPN, Multicast, SNMP, and IPSec protocols.
  • Configure Access Control Lists (ACLs) to enhance network security.
  • Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs) to network devices.
  • Manage and configure COMSEC devices, including Taclanes (KG175D, KG250s).
  • Oversee the configuration and maintenance of IPS 250 devices.
  • Implement and manage PALO Firewalls, focusing on Palo Altos.
  • Implement Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) to ensure secure data transfer.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field plus 10+ years relative experience.
  • CCNA certification.
  • ESS (Trellix) and SIEM (Splunk/SolarWinds) experience.
  • In-depth knowledge of EIGRP and OSPF routing protocols.
  • Experience with DMVPN, Multicast, SNMP, IPSec.
  • Experience configuring ACLs and applying STIGs.
  • Familiarity with COMSEC devices, Taclanes (KG175D, KG250s), and IPS 250.
  • Cross Domain Solutions (CDS) experience and proficiency managing PALO Firewalls.
  • Secret Security Clearance with ability to obtain Top Secret Clearance.
