About the position

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Engineer with a Top Secret clearance to support the Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) at Ft. Liberty, NC. The role involves designing, installing, and maintaining network systems while ensuring security and performance standards are met. The position is a 9-month contract-to-hire opportunity, with the potential for conversion to a full-time role after the contract period.

Responsibilities

• Design, install, and maintain the network system
• Maintain and review system and security logs
• Manage network performance and troubleshoot network problems
• Maintain user accounts and system security plans
• Perform configuration, administration, troubleshooting, and support of networking devices, WAN/LAN optimization systems, VoIP/RoIP/Video, and encryption devices
• Maintain server hardware and software, system security, baseline configurations, and incident response procedures

Requirements

• CCNA Required, CCNP Preferred
• DOD 8570 IAT Level II required (Level III preferred)
• Experience with Enterprise Email (MS Exchange 2010 & 2013)
• Extensive knowledge of Microsoft Active Directory administration and Windows Server platforms (2008/2012R2)
• Experience with server virtualization (VMWare VCP5 or Microsoft Hyper-V)
• BA/BS or equivalent 3 - 5 yrs. of experience
• ITIL v3 Certification required
• Understanding of the Cisco UCS integrated infrastructure and Flexpod Data Center solutions
• Core Routing and Switching: EIGRP, GRE tunnels, InterVLAN routing, redistribution, ACLs, Multicast, QoS, NBAR, NAT, VPN, Layer 2/3 switching, HSRP, Spanning tree
• Supplement Routing and Switching: TACACS, VoIP (Cisco Call Manager), RoIP (Wave), LAN/WAN optimization (Riverbed), monitoring solutions (Solarwinds/NetMRI), encryption devices (KG175, KG250, etc)
• Cisco Adaptive Security Appliance Experience
