About the position

As a member of the Network Engineering team at Palantir, you will play a crucial role in evolving the company's network services to meet both current and future demands. This position involves supporting network services in US Government facilities and globally, leading projects, and improving service delivery in a critical area of the business.

Responsibilities

  • Support the networking needs of our US Government and global facilities.
  • Deploy, maintain, and scale network infrastructure with minimal downtime.
  • Create solutions to complex technical challenges.
  • Maintain documentation and datasets used to support the network.
  • Collaborate with fellow engineers across multiple time zones.
  • Facilitate feedback from end-users and provide network infrastructure related assistance.
  • Troubleshoot operational issues in the infrastructure, including vendor escalation.

Requirements

  • Active US security clearance at the Secret designation or above.
  • Willingness and ability to travel up to 20% of the time.
  • Able to meet DOD 8140 requirements, via active certifications or education.
  • Ability to continuously learn, work independently, and make decisions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to identify, explain and resolve issues in a production network environment.
  • A solid foundational understanding of the OSI Layers from physical to application.
  • Experience with Palo Alto Networks or similar NGFW technology.
  • Experience with Cisco ISE or similar NAC technology.
  • Experience with layer 2 protocols (e.g. LACP, MLAG, Spanning Tree, etc.) and routing protocols such as BGP or OSPF.
  • Experience with Wireless Networking (deployment and troubleshooting).
  • Experience with public cloud service providers (e.g. AWS, Microsoft Azure, etc.) and VPN technology (GRE, IPSec/SSL VPNs).
