About The Position

Iron Systems is seeking a highly skilled Network Engineer V to join our team in Fremont, CA. This position is pivotal in managing and supporting one of the world's largest and most complex networks. As a Space & Power Network Deployment Engineer, you will be responsible for the design and execution of critical infrastructure projects related to space and power for edge network requirements. This role offers a unique opportunity to engage in the design of POP infrastructure and to contribute to various aspects of networking, ensuring that our systems meet both current and future demands. In this role, you will execute regional space and power requirements, cabling, and other infrastructure needs to support edge networks. You will be tasked with designing and planning new site electrical and mechanical critical infrastructure for data center sites. Collaborating with FB Engineers, you will design and draw layouts for edge/POP site floor plans, ensuring that space is allocated efficiently for network functions, optical systems, backbone connections, and compute resources. Your responsibilities will also include executing all SOW engineering design packages related to new or existing edge/POP sites in accordance with ENS standards. You will proactively contribute to the evolution of documentation, automation, and processes, ensuring that all systems and documentation are delivered according to set standards. Additionally, you will guide retrospective reviews of completed projects, incorporating lessons learned into future roadmaps and goals. Involvement in the site acceptance process for new POP sites will also be part of your duties, along with traveling to various sites across states for surveys and evaluations as needed.
