About the position

Join our team as the primary technical lead on projects that contain moderate to highly complex environments. The work schedule is flexible with most core hours from 9-4, but you must be onsite 3 days/week. Your role will involve developing and implementing project plans within budgetary, schedule and resource constraints. You will capture, analyze, decompose and create requirements for systems, products and subsystems of moderate to high complexity. You will be expected to analyze and recommend contemporary and emerging technologies for deployment across the global network system architecture. Your work will help address emerging product and market needs, taking into consideration the wider business context, risks, opportunities and constraints. You will also devise technical product roadmaps and deliver cost efficiencies by migrating the product portfolio over time towards a common target architecture where appropriate. You will ensure that design and development work undertaken by others within the Engineering team aligns with the approved technical architecture for a given project/program. You will also author, review and maintain documentation during all phases of the system design life cycle as per documented processes and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement project plans within budgetary, schedule and resource constraints.
  • Capture, analyze, decompose and create requirements for systems, products and subsystems of moderate to high complexity.
  • Analyze and recommend contemporary and emerging technologies for deployment across the global network system architecture.
  • Devise technical product roadmaps and deliver cost efficiencies by migrating the product portfolio towards a common target architecture.
  • Ensure design and development work aligns with the approved technical architecture for projects/programs.
  • Author, review and maintain documentation during all phases of the system design life cycle.

Requirements

  • STEM degree required
  • Experience in Design/Development/Architecture for Large Scale Network Systems WAN
  • Extensive Linux Experience
  • Peer and Documents Review
  • Experience with SDLC
  • Knowledge of Cloud Technologies and Processes
  • Design experience with AWS and Azure cloud infrastructure services
  • Experience with cloud tools and management systems such as OpenStack, CloudStack, vCloud Automation Center, vCloud Director
  • Experience managing WAN connections between multiple remote offices and cloud presence (AWS, Azure)
  • Hands-on systems level understanding and ability to learn and apply new concepts and technologies quickly
  • Experience with Ansible
