About the position

The Network Engineer position at Robert Half is a long-term contract role focused on managing and maintaining network infrastructure within the Professional Services industry. The role requires expertise in various networking technologies, including Cisco and Checkpoint, to ensure optimal network performance and security.

Responsibilities

• Oversee the implementation and management of network systems using Cisco Technologies
• Maintain and configure Cisco Routers and Cisco ASA for optimal performance
• Implement and monitor Border Gateway Protocol (BGP) for efficient network routing
• Utilize Checkpoint for firewall administration and secure network configuration
• Perform AB Testing to ensure network systems are running efficiently
• Implement and maintain Backup Technologies for data protection
• Manage computer hardware components in the network infrastructure
• Oversee Configuration Management to maintain network systems
• Monitor and manage the operation of Datacenters
• Make necessary adjustments based on network performance and feedback.

Requirements

• Proficient in Border Gateway Protocol (BGP)
• Skilled in using Checkpoint software
• Experienced with Cisco ASA, Cisco Routers, and other Cisco Technologies
• Familiarity with AB Testing techniques
• Competency in various Backup Technologies
• Knowledge of Computer Hardware
• Proficient in Configuration Management
• Experience with Datacenter operations
• Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering or a related field
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work effectively in a team
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
