About the position

We are looking for a Network Engineer to join our team based in Hershey, Pennsylvania. This role is particularly suitable for individuals with strong experience in Cisco routing and switching, Citrix NetScaler, and IP Control DHCP. This is a contract to hire employment opportunity that entails ensuring smooth network operations and leading site transitions. The Network Engineer will be responsible for taking the lead in transitioning remote sites, coordinating with various groups, and executing site migrations. This position requires a proactive approach to handle day-to-day operational tasks to support the larger team's focus on a large-scale segmentation project. The role also involves conducting physical migrations and configurations at different locations, collaborating with the voice team, and troubleshooting tickets as required. The ideal candidate will demonstrate proficiency in configuring VRF and VLANs, manage the lifecycle of equipment including the replacement of switches, and utilize Cisco Technologies to maintain network efficiency and stability. Additionally, knowledge of Citrix NetScaler will be essential for managing and optimizing network load, while handling IP Control DHCP will be necessary for managing network IP configuration and distribution. The candidate should be prepared for occasional evening work to meet project requirements.

Responsibilities

• Take the lead in transitioning remote sites, coordinating with various groups and executing site migrations.

Requirements

• Applicant must possess robust knowledge of Cisco Routers and Cisco Technologies
• Experience with Switches is mandatory for this role
• Proficiency in Citrix and NetScaler is expected
• Familiarity with VLAN is essential
• The candidate must demonstrate excellent problem-solving abilities
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are needed
• Ability to work independently and in a team is crucial
• The candidate should be able to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field is preferred
• Relevant certifications will be considered as a plus.
