About the position

The Network Engineer at CACI will support the intelligence and Department of Defense (DoD) community by working with large data sets to address complex data challenges. This role involves collaborating with team members on network engineering tasks and contributing to innovative solutions in a high-stakes environment.

Responsibilities

• Support the nation's intelligence and DoD community.
• Work with large data sets to solve complex data challenges.
• Complete various tasks focused on network engineering.
• Collaborate with project team members to brainstorm solutions to complex problems.

Requirements

• Minimum 6 years of experience with Cisco Firewalls, Palo Alto Firewalls, Cisco Wireless Technologies, Networking monitoring solutions, and/or Cloud Service Providers (AWS, Azure, GCP).
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related discipline, or a Master's Degree with four years of experience, or a Ph.D. with no experience. An additional four years of experience is required in lieu of a Bachelor's degree for a total of 10 years.
• Experience with Cisco network equipment (Catalyst switches, ASR routers, ASA firewalls).
• Experience with OSPF, EIGRP, and BGP routing protocols.
• Experience with Layer 2 switching technologies.
• Experience with documentation tools (Visio, Excel, Word).
• Experience with network monitoring tools.
• Willingness to learn AWS networking (EC2 and VPC configurations).
• Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong customer service skills.
• DoD 8570 IAT level 2 certification.
• Minimum CCNA Certification.
