Empire State University, Office of Information Technology Services, is seeking a Network Engineer (State Title: Lead Programmer-Analyst) to join our team in Saratoga Springs, NY. This pivotal role is essential for the engineering, configuration, and support of all internal and external university networks. The Network Engineer will be responsible for troubleshooting network problems and performance issues, serving as Tier 2 technical support. The successful candidate will focus on maintaining a state-of-the-art network that services the university's needs across over 20 locations throughout New York State. This includes providing innovative and sustainable technology solutions that digitally connect all university stakeholders, enabling variable models of teaching and learning to occur at any time and any place. In this role, the Network Engineer will be expected to deliver excellence in network technology and support. This includes supporting the implementation, integration, and operation of physical and virtual classrooms, labs, and administrative units. The candidate will need to maintain an in-depth understanding of emerging technologies related to networking and respond quickly to networking issues, including providing off-hour support as needed.
