About the position

RWS is a well-established and growing business specialising in language translation services. We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and committed Network Engineer to join our global network team. Based in Group Technology, in this position you work closely with network engineers, project managers, and other IT professionals to design, implement, and maintain our network infrastructure. Group Technology plays a pivotal role in aligning the organization with its strategic objectives and enhancing shareholder value. Group Technology is responsible for establishing unified standards and governance practices throughout the company. Additionally, we oversee the development and maintenance of core applications essential for the seamless operation of various functions across the organization. Responsibilities

• Play a crucial role in designing, implementing, and maintaining our network infrastructure.
• Network design and implementation: Work closely with other members of the Network and Security Team to implement and deploy network infrastructure, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security.
• Collaboration with cross-functional teams.
• Network maintenance and troubleshooting: Work closely with the Service Delivery Team to perform regular maintenance tasks and help troubleshoot and resolve network issues promptly to minimize downtime.
• Documentation: Create and maintain detailed documentation of network configurations, procedures, and troubleshooting steps.
• Travel: International or domestic travel will be required for this role.

Requirements

• Proven experience of 5+ Years as a Network Engineer or in a similar role.
• Experience working within a global enterprise organisation.
• Experience with network security, including LAN, WLAN, SDWAN, VPNs, and Security.
• Previous experience working on greenfield and brownfield deployments.
• Certifications such as Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) or equivalent are a plus.
• Strong troubleshooting skills and the ability to analyse and resolve complex network issues.
• Demonstrate resilience in the face of challenges and uncertainties, maintaining a solution-orientated approach to problem-solving.
• Ability to understand and capture business requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proven self-starter working well with minimal supervision.
• Education in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.
