About the position

TEKsystems is currently seeking a Network Engineer to provide comprehensive operational support for network and DMZ-related activities. This role involves Incident Management, Problem Management, troubleshooting, and engineering tasks within and connecting to DMZs, utilizing technologies such as Cisco, F5, and BlueCoat. The selected candidate will be part of an Enterprise team and will collaborate with various teams daily to address and resolve Incidents, Problems, Changes, and Service Requests. In this operational and engineering support role, the Network Engineer will work extensively with a range of technologies including Cisco, F5, CheckPoint, AVI, BlueCoat, and BlueCat, while also possessing a solid understanding of Middleware and Platform inter-operations within a DMZ environment. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in building networks, configuring load balancers, proxies, and developing firewall policies. Additionally, familiarity with networking, storage, clustering, and patching activities is essential. Candidates should also be adept at building servers, installing software, and supporting application releases. A solid understanding of Vulnerability Management and Enterprise Security Baselines is required, along with the ability to manage a variety of individual network devices. The role demands a willingness to adopt new skills and upgrade existing ones, as well as a strong knowledge of protocols such as TCP/IP, SSL/TLS, SSH, and SFTP. The candidate should be proficient in diagnosing issues and problems that arise in large multi-datacenter, multi-tiered application environments.

Responsibilities

  • Provide operational and engineering support for network and DMZ-related activities.

Requirements
